Neil Patterson
Biography
Neil has studied art at the University of Calgary, Fine Arts
Department and the Scottsdale School in Arizona. His is affiliated
with: Oil Painters of America (OPA); Federation of Canadian Artists
(FCA),Vancouver; Alberta Society of Artists (ASA); Knickerbocker Artists,
USA; and Salmagundi Club, New York.
Neil was awarded Master Signature Membership in Oil Painters of America in
2000. Neil is the only Canadian to receive this status and one of only
36 artists internationally.
In 1991, Neil was a finalist in the Landscape Competition in The
Artist's Magazine and received the Robert Genn Award for work
displayed in the Winter Show of the Federation of Canadian Artists in
Vancouver. He also placed second in the Fish Creek,
Calgary show. Neil was presented the Purchase Award
at Sunshine Village in Banff in 1989 and 1988-87.
Neil displays his work internationally.
